Four Divisions
(Bantam, Peewee, Junior, and Senior)
based on a players age and weight

Bantam Division

6-8 years old

on Dec. 1st)

Max 100 lbs stripped
(No uniform, pads,
helmet)
Bantam Division uses
a "Must Play" rule to allow all players some game time
experience. Games are played on a 40 yard field with 2 coaches per team allowed to
assist players on the field. Games consist of 4
quarters of 10 minutes each with a "running" clock.
Punts are allowed, and the punter cannot be rushed... ball
is dead where it stops, but no Kick Off's are allowed.
Peewee Division

8-10 years old

(No uniform, pads,
helmet)

Weigh-in at
All-Valley Carnival (August) is players final
opportunity to meet weight limit.

Any 10 year old that signs up after Carnival and weighs
90+ lbs must play at Junior level.

Must
weigh-in at carnival.
Peewee Division is
a competitive level of play.
Teams will compete in the All Valley Youth Football League
(AVYFL) with Home games played at our Home field in Visalia
(Golden West High School), and Away games hosted by other
nearby communities (also members of the AVYFL).
Game scores and team records are maintained by AVYFL. Teams will participate in Playoff games at the end of the season,
as well as a possible Valley Championship Title.
Junior
Division

10-12 years old
(Max 12 years old
on Dec. 1st)

Max 150 lbs stripped
(No uniform, pads,
helmet)

Weight at
Physical Exam (noted on back of Players Contract) determines
whether a 10 or 12 year old plays for the Peewee, Junior or
Senior Division.

Any 12 year
old that is 150 pounds and under has the option to play in
the Junior or Senior Division, but only with VYTF Board
President approval.

Any 10 year
old that signs up after Carnival and weighs 110+ lbs must
play at Senior level.

Must weigh-in at carnival.
Junior Division is
a competitive level of play.
Teams will compete in the All Valley Youth Football League
(AVYFL) with Home games played at our Home field in Visalia
(Golden West High School), and Away games hosted by other
nearby communities (also members of the AVYFL).
